As some one else has already stated the motor is probably a 413, it is most likely a truck version, the heads are different, probably a 4 bolt flange on the exhaust manifolds, water pump is different, and goes directly into each head, and the engine is most likely a gear drive, instead of a timing chain, the thing to watch out for is that the gear drive is a 2 gear, not a three or four gear system which means the cam rotates backwards, Any thoughts of using the engine are ok as long as you are figureing on replacing the heads, gear drive, and cam,,,,,,,,am sure that this will be a low comp. set up as well, but the crank will be one of the good ones so ,,,,,,,,,,,,,go from there The tranny if from a motor home, will have a large drum on the back of the tranny, this was what was used for a park brake on the motor homes, as well as trucks,,,,,,,,,,there should be numbers stamped on the front of the valley area as with all rb style engines the better blocks that came in the motor homes were the casting# 2658836 blocks,,,,,,,this number is cast in by the area of the oil sending unit hope this helps,,,,,,,,am sure that some one will jump in here if I have misled you **************It's Tax Time!
