If you have a console, the lower boot goes on top of the hump and the upper 
boot mounts to the console. If you don't have a console, I would just use 
the one boot, and put it on top of the hump. If you insist on using both for 
a non-console car, put them both on top. (The junked '65 Fury I pulled my 
pedals out of still had the non-console trim ring installed, and only the 
upper boot.)
