That doesn't surprise me. I had the privilege of knowing Carl Cameron before he passed away last year. Carl was the chief designer of the 66 Charger and the 67 Dart. He was also responsible for the front end of the 70 Challenger which was actually one of his alternate designs for the front end of the 66 Charger. One of the many things Carl told me is that back then Plymouth designed their cars first and the Dodge designers had to use the same doors as Plymouth. I have 2 friends that are racing 66/67 Chargers and they both replaced the die cast grills and rotating headlight assemblies with aluminum grills and headlights from 67 Coronets which took 200 lbs. off the nose of the car.
I always get a kick out of going to Moparfest in Canada and seeing all the Darts with Valiant front ends or vise a versa and Canadian Valiants that are really Darts. And the 50's Canadian Dodge's that are Plymouths with Dodge front clips.
I was surprised however that with such a radical change to the cowl between 63 and 64 that it looks like the same hood and front clip will bolt up to both years.

I would say that is likely.? Surely someone on this page has/had one of these cars with the "wrong" front clip somewhere in their past.? I'm pretty sure that the 63 and 64 hoods are the same, outside of the letters/trim.? That would pretty much ensure that the fenders etc would fit.?FYI, I had a 67 Satellite with a 66 Coronet front clip(see pic)?that fit perfectly.? This is after all how they cobbled up the Canadian models for years...WHS
