RE: rear springs

I had mine re-arched locally at a spring shop that does truck and heavy
equipment.
They put new pads between the leafs, new shackles and bolts and gave me
another 1" of height.
I think it's a combination of load and # of leafs and thickness. They had
microfiche of early Mopars and did a great job.
It cost me about $300 but I kept my originals and took about half a day.
Then I got a set of the oil-filled Delco pleasurizers off ebay for the stock
look.
Still searching for that elusive long fiber grease for the torsion bars, not
by the case.

butch, i took the old ones down & i guess the pull them all apart & rearc
each leaf. they asked if i wanted it back to specs., [which i guess would be
a calculated guess on their part] or raised up a bit. obviously not as good
as buying new springs but will hopefully last a few years. does anyone know
if rearced springs will last as long as new ones or maybe half as long.?
