413 block casting / serial number decode help

Thanks to Jim Jablonski, I now own a 1962 413 that I plan to 'freshen'
and install in my 1962 Dart 440 4-door.
I'm perplexed, however, that the block casting number of 1852029,
which indicates it to be a 1962 413 block, has 'V 41' stamped on the
pad at the left front of the engine. I think the 'V' means it was
stamped in 1964. Was it uncommon for 2 years to pass between the
casting of the block and the installation in a car?
Also, the head casting number is 2406516-2 ... my Mopar book says that
would make it a 1964-67 361-383 head.
Stay tuned for more questions as I dig into my new project! And
thanks in advance for all the great help I'm sure I'll receive from
you folks!
