Hi Dave.

Im running a clutch fan here with a seven blade fan.
if i recall its a clutch out of a Jaguar XJ6 i think.
2.75"
Then i ground down about 1/8" off of the blades on the front surface  
of the fan clutch.
plenty of room once i did this.

I first heard about this combo from someone here.  it was a good  
recommendation and works great.
