Bill,Face the engine and tell me what numbers and letter are on the front face of the engine block just to the right of the timing cover below the driver side head.

From what I can tell in the FSM it'll just say "A-318", right? The FSM didn't describe WHERE to look for the number, you just have to guess @ where the drawing is of on the block! Is there any way to tell the year by casting numbers on the side , etc? And they did not VIN stamp or cast anything into the poly motors, correct? Ultimately, I'm going for is there ANY to tell if this is the original motor or not?
