Let's see if I can pose this question so it's understandable. I'm restoring a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury. It currently has some aftermarket wide wheels and tires. I intend to put it back to original, meaning standard 14" wheels that will accept the 3-bar spinner hubcaps particular to that car. My question is this: if I convert the front wheels to disc brakes, can I find a 14" wheel that will clear the brakes on the backside of the wheel and still accept the 3-bar spinner wheel covers? I'd like the extra safety margin that disc brakes provide, but do not want to sacrifice the asthetics of the 3-bar spinner wheel covers. If anyone has experience with this, I'd appreciate your response.
