Ron,the next time the car is there get the VIN from the tag on the door 
jamb and then have that number run through Darrell's '64 book.I can 
understand the fender tag being missing as some people will steal 
anything.In 99.9% of the cases,the VIN tag will tell the true story as 
all the Maxie cars can now be verified.

The 4th digit of the VIN needs to be a "2".If it's not,don't waste your 
time.
