Lee, I used this stuff for a coating after de-anodizing all my aluminum trim and it is excellant. Will not yellow and can be painted on with a paint brush and smooth it's self out. I polished all the aluminum on a buffing wheel, I'm not sure if you can use wax on it and then paint over it? It is made by the Por 15 folks and it is called Glisten PC. Do a search type in POR 15, pick someone who sells it and look up under clear coatings and read about it. It will not blue or discolor with time and is UV protected.
