De anodizing aluminum trim

I saw this on Musclecar or Trucks this weekend - they used spray on oven
cleaner to remove the cloudy clear anodizing on aluminum trim. Leave on for 10
minutes, wipe off and polish with Flitz. Worked good on tv. I'll be trying
