I believe the A Body oil pan had a small indentation to clear some component and don't know if the B Body 273s are the same. Motor itself should be no problem. Use the A Body mounts or better yet, get a set of the 273/318 mounts from Schumaker. You will need to use the early A driver's side exhaust manifold with either the correct crossover for the single exhaust or run duals (passenger side are the same up through sometime in the early seventies. I might have forgot something but that will basically do the trick. I'm doing a similar swap from the slant to a 340 in my 65 Dart wagon and also my 65
Dart convertible. Don----- Original Message ----- From: <moparbikeguy@xxxxxxx>

When I did my '65 Coronet stroker project, I removed the stock 273 and trand from the car, therefore, I have a complete 273 and 904 from a 1965 "B" body that I would like to install in a 1965 "A" body. The "A" body was a slant 6 manual trans, I have already installed a 1965 "A" body automatic cable shift steering column. Do I need to change anything else or will the "B" body oil pan, motor and trans mounts exhaust etc work?'65 Coronet 500 stroker ________________________________________________________________________Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- Unlimited storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
