I replaced all of mine with a long bolt after buying the approx length bushing at the hardware store. The bolt goes through the bushing (which acts like a long washer or spacer). When done, it looks like the original sleeve-nut. Make sure the bushing is the same outer diameter as the sleeve-nut and that the bolt goes through it.
