I saw some discussion awhile back about long fibre grease, what is it, where can you get it? In the June 2007 Mopar Action magazine, Tech Topics, page 91, Rick Ehrenberg talks about long fibre grease. He describes it as "a long fibre barium-based grease with a consistency and stringiness not unlike mozzarella", says to use it on suspension and steering parts for Mopar muscle car era cars, especially those with aftermarket parts. Mopar has made some of the grease, but he cautions that your dealer may require you to buy a case, cause no one else is going to want it. He also encourages the reader to 'get it while you can'. The Mopar part number is 4897841AA. I called my dealer's parts department and sure enough, they would have to order it and would only sell it to me by the case, but they did tell me that a dealer in a neighboring town had 14 tubes on their shelves, so I picked up a few. /Butch/Ferndale, WA [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
