Hi, The heater valve will remove from the side of the box with the box staying in the car. Remember that there is a sensor tube also in the heater that is connected to the valve. Undo the hold down screws on the sensor tube before you pull the valve. Of course you need to drain the coolant so you don't get a bath or your carpet does not get soaked. K.
