RE: Heater Stuff Again

Just went thru this 2 weeks ago Bill...it's probably not the o ring
that's leaking, mine was leaking out the top of the valve thru the
rubber seal at the top of the plunger. The only one I found to rebuild
wanted $125 plus a $65 core, so I did what someone on the list
recommended and bought a $27 inline valve from Bouchillon Performance
which mounts right in the heater hose and used a generic choke cable
from Car Quest to extend through the firewall and reach the valve, just
bent the new ends on the cable myself. Then I took the water valve
apart, removed the extra parts, and welded the small hole shut where the
plunger used to extend thru. Make sure you remove the rubber seal. I
also blasted the valve clean so the weld would stick. Mine doesn't leak
now, but I haven't been down the road yet, either. I hope this is clear,
if not email me off line. Make sure you get the right valve from
Bouchillon as they have a push/open and a pull/open. I think you will
need the push/open. Somebody correct me if I missed anything.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
