Rich, Here we go on the questions: 1) Beef up the 8.75? What do you currently have in it? Does he want to add a suregrip? New gears? Is he concerned about the rpms at freeway speed? 2) Brake conversion. I'm not super familiar with the B bodies and such for disc brake conversion, but I know several have used 73-76 A body spindles to do a 10.75 or 11.75 discs brake conversion. I just completed the 11.75 conversion, and it cost me about $600 to do. There's a ton of information from the Rick Ehrenberg's tech write ups on mopar action magazine. http://www.moparaction.com/Tech/archive/disc-main.html If you don't want to source the parts yourself, then you can buy either a Wilwood or Stainless Steel brakes conversion kit. I've never gone this route, but prices are in the $1000 neighborhood. 3) Suspension--it would do a world of good to get new bushings in the upper/lower control arms, strut rods, and add a swaybar. Firmfeel, addco and others make good bars. Do you have manual or power steering? If you have a manual with a wide ratio box, you could get a tighter gear ratio to make it take fewer turns lock-lock (but also more effort). I think just doing the bushings and putting a swaybar on will tighten it up enough to help you out. Next step up would be stiffer torsion bars and better shocks. CAUTION: MONEY PIT AHEAD!! :D You can spend a lot for this stuff so decide what you want and go from there. Don't ask me how I know =) hope that helps. Guys, I know that we really focus on the 62-65 cars here on the forum and I do have a membership with the 66-67 Charger forum, but I really value your input and have learned much from the guys on the forum for my 65 500 Coronet that I just beginning to work on (little Brown nosing here) . What I have question on are for the 66 Charger that I now have a 413 Wedge engine in it as well as beefed up 727 Tyranny with stall converter in it. Questions are: 1. The rear is the 8 3/4 but I am looking to modify , this the guy I am working with has advised me to beef it up to run on the 5 freeway in So-Cal 2. I have the old school brake and really feel I need to do at least a front brake conversation (please give advise on which is best at a mid range price). 3. The suspension and the steer look stock, I am not looking to have it morph in to a "G" machine. But do feel that I should beef up the suspension (FYI the leaf springs look good). Any tips or opinions I would greatly appreciate it. I know this is 65 and later but all Mopar love is Mopar love.
