RE: Replacing Open with Sure-grip

Chris,

If you have a 65 and up rear end, you will not. You will need
buttons for the center of the pig if your going to use the stock
Timken bearings. If your going to run Green bearings you will
not need the buttons. If your rear end is 64 and back, you will need
the correct axles and buttons. Timken bearings are great, but I
do prefer the Moser Green bearings. I have had great luck with
them, some people have not. The Green bearings make life easy.
You can run a pre 65 posi in a 65 and newer housing.

Earl

Will I need different axles to replace the Open rear in my '64 to a
Sure-grip? Stock 8 3/4 rearend.

Thanks,
