off topic K-car lighting question

thought i might asl this off-topic question here, car is a 92 dodge
spirit.  
  the passenger side headlight is dead, hi and low beam.  
  I tried  replacing the bulb first, that worked for about a day, then
  it went out.
  upon deeper inspection i found a terminal in the socket badly burnt. 
  I replaced the socket and a new bulb but  it only lasted another day.
  back to square one, 
  What do u guys think??  Grounding out somewhere??   the light on the
  drivers side works fine
