Carter AFB

I got my hands on a loverly little Carter AFB 625 that, if my books are right, should already be setup for a factory HP 383. I've always had problems with the Holleys and edelbrocks on my 383 and I'm hoping this will solve the problem. My boss is professionally rebuilding it for me, should look brand new when he's done with it. I bought it for $100 in pretty sad shape. Should I expect low end torque more than high end power, which would be the opposite of my big Holley 750? Also I have no place for the coil spring choke that is meant to be used with the Carter, any suggestions there? Mind you this is a real Carter, not an edelbrock knock off.
