Re: Fired the new motor ...

Sounds like a good break-in, Dave. Which car in your fleet is this one
in ? I've almost got my short block done for my Savoy and can't wait
to fire it up too.

Hi gang,

We fired the new 383/450" stroker without incident yesterday.Used
Rotella T and Schaffer's oil additive.Water temp stayed good,oil
pressure steady at 70 psi.Used TTI's for the break in despite their
written advice against it.Jetting was purposely on the fat side. They did
dull,but never glowed.No biggie,it's not a show car.Checked the oil
today for any signs of water-none found. No oil leaks either. So far so
good.

Hopefully between long work days I'll find some motivation to keep
pecking away.I've got a long way to go.
