If I could add one small thing....tie a piece of thin string or thread to the ends of the wires you remove from the plastic connector. Then, after you pull the old wiring out, you can use the thread or string to pull in the new wiring back down the column.

You have to remove the terminals from the plastic connector at the end of the harness. Make a little sketch to show which color wire goes to the differentpositions in the plastic connector. Release the terminals from the plastic connectorand then slowly pull the turn signal cam and wiring out of the steeringcolumn.
