Bob, do you think it was a difference in heads, exhaust, crank throw, or what that made the difference in HP? Thanks/Butch, Ferndale, WA -----Original Message----- From: Bob H. This takes me back almost 44 yrs but I can remember how great I felt about my mother buying a 63 Dodge 440 model 2dr HT with a "Power Pack" 383. Then my disappointment when I found it was a 2 bbl with single exhaust. I believe it was rated at 305 HP. The "High Performance" 383 had a 4 bbl, dual exhaust and was rated at 330 HP. The 2 bbl was torquey but lacked the top end breathing ability of the 4 bbl motor.
