Neal....7.25 plates wont work. You'll notice the axle tubes on the 7.25 are smaller diameter,hence the plates are drilled with holes too close together. I believe all 8.75 shock plates are the same, so a set from any body style should work. Regarding the leafs, I would think they are too narrow, but I'm not sure.
