RE: Why I'm Not Man Enough For Car Restoration

Keep the friend's car whole. I believe that if you follow this advice, you
will be well served. I have my Dad's 1939 Ford flathead V-8 pickup in
storage in the desert, a long way from Puget Sound. He drove it for many
years in the desert and left if to me when he died. My brother in law works
on it, keeping it original and running. Someday, it will have to go to
someone else, but I'll have to know it will never be chopped, cut, or
rebuilt into anything other than what it was originally, before I'd sell it
or gift it to anyone. If someone does butcher the truck, they'd feel me from
the grave...

The 62 B body darts are so ugly they are beautiful! I say that with the
utmost respect. It sounds like you're an honorable man and you're really
wrestling with your conscience. I think you'll keep that Dart as is and
won't cut it up. Even though it will cost more in the long run. It's what I
would since you're friends of that family.
Keep us posted on your decision. Good luck!
BTW,sounds like you are man enough.
