Re: bad vibrations

I agree with Gerry, try torquein those guys, mighta come loose. While your at it, I'd make sure that the holes in the flex plate haven't been warn, that is if the bolts are actually loose. Check for a broken flex plate or anything else like the balance weight on the converter missing. I'd still like to know if it vibrates like that in park while revving the motor to 3k. This would narrow it down a little, though it doesn't sound like a wheel, u-j, or driveline problem.

  Hi Ben

As far as I recall, only while driving on the road. And not all the time then,
  either.
When we fitted those 15" steels a few weeks ago, we went out for a blast
to see if that helped with the vibrations. We noticed that if you gradually
build up speed slowly, the vibrations are less and come in around 3000
rpm, but if you stomp on it, the vibrations come in a little earlier (2500)
and are A LOT more noticeable, to the point of thinking something's gonna
  fall off!

Could it be anything in the trans or torque converter? That's something else
we've had to have rebuilt since buying the car as they were duff too. Normally
would trust the guy that did the trans work, but you never know?

  Robert

too? Or only going down the road?
