Hi Harold,I got lucky with mine. I'd been wanting an early Mopar for my stable for quite awhile and everything that looked interesting was always half-way across the country. This Spring when we were at Mopars in the Park in Shakopee MN a fellow pulled in a with a great looking 64. We were set up in the swap meet and when there was a little break in the action there, I wandered up to the show car area. The fellow with the 64 was right there and after visiting with him for awhile, mentioned that I was in the market for a 65 Satellite. He said , "Have we got a deal for you" He proceeded to tell me about the car and I basically committed to it on the spot site unseen. Once the details got worked out however, it turns out his daughter was driving the car and taking it to local cruises and shows. Her mother and her were pretty reluctant to sell the car and I thought several times the deal wouldn't get made. I ended up waiting all summer till after the show season to get the car and even then it was still a touchy subject at their house. Luckily the car was only 120 miles from me and the wife and daughter weren't home when I went to pick it up.

Has anyone traveled a long distance to get their 62-65 Mopar? I keep finding cars that fit the bill of what I am looking for, but the problem is they are usually 1500 miles away. The most recent and probably the best car ever (described by owner-haven't seen the pics yet) is roughly 2000 miles one way. I did find two at about 500 miles from me, but after contacting the guy 4 or 5 times, he doesn't seem interested in sending me pics or contact me at all. I even told him if they were good for what I want, I would buy both of them. What more can I say? Oh well, sorry to bore you guys with my rants and raves. But I am interested if anyone traveled very far to get their car and how far. Another thing, who actually waited the longest to finally find the car they bought? OK, OK, I'm done now. Thanks guys.
