Andy, The torsion bars are larger in the V8 cars and they will interchange. Since your car was a slant 6, I would probably change out the K-member although Schumacher may have motor mounts that would work with the big block. You can also install a later K-member such as a 69 or so that would move the engine back some and give better header clearance. I think you can go with a K member up to 1970.
