hi
With my car I had burnt the block/head between 3 and 5. It did it, I put my hand on the exh and could feel it suck on it once and push 2 to 3 times per cycle. ha, I still did a 14.6 sec 1/4 mile. on mine when one was on the down stroke it would pull air in through the other cylinder. the other 2 cylinders were still good so they'd still push out like normal. Sorry, I don't know if the burn't valve will do it. I can assume that it would.

I read somewhere where u could tell if an engine had a burnt exhaust
valve by holding apiece of paper up to the tail-pipe and if it HAD a
burnt ex. valve it would suck the paper up to the pipe, but if they were
all fine, the paper would be constantly being pushed away.
Is this true? AND if its true , please explain to me why it does that.
is there anywhere on the net where mechanics list cool little tricks
like this.
