I just looked at a 72 440 and it also has the casting boss, but it's just a boss with no threaded hole. I have a friend who has a 69 M Code Cuda. He took a 440 he bought off of me, installed the special driver's side motor mount to the ears, and carefully drilled and tapped the appropriate size threaded hole into the boss on that motor for the 3rd mounting hole. I suspect that most all 383/440s had the boss - it was just drilled and tapped for the A Bodys.

Neal, Remember, the 67 383 Barracudas had a special 383 block with a extra
boss cast in the left front of it and the exhaust manifolds are also special
and hard to locate. But even with that, the deal sounds good.
