I live in central Ohio, and there are virtually NO old yards left as they all crushed old cars years ago. If you DO find an old car in a yard, it's rarely a Mopar. However, Ebay has hurt us by leading the public to believe that the old 4-door, 6 cylinder Mopar that's been sitting in their woods for 30 years is a rare and desirable car now that prices have skyrocketed. They buy a $4 camera, take one crappy pic and expect the car to sell for $1000 on Ebay. But as long as there are people with serious money in the hobby, the prices will probably stay high enough that most of us will never be able to afford to replace that Roadrunner or Cuda we had back in the 70's. Sorry for the long-winded post guys, the prices just annoy the hell outta me! I need a 4-spd top plate for my 64 Polara, but I REFUSE to pay $400 on average for a plate that needs rechromed. And that's just ONE example, I'm sure each of us has his own. Jeff Gary H. wrote: > > Price inflation is another consequence of ebay, perhaps? > > But the swap meet ads show asking prices.
