The non-console handle is still available from Hurst. The console handle is
not but they show up on ePay from time to time. The shifter mechanism is
just a competition plus mechanism, which you can buy new, or there are
plenty of used ones out there. The shifter mounting pad for 64 and 65 cars
is available newly reproduced from Passon Performance (you can google that
to find their website). You might call them to see if they know anything
more about finding a handle. Having the correct mounting pad will put the
shifter handle in the right position to fit your console and floor tunnel.
The one big thing to be concerned about is the linkage, specifically the
lengths of levers on the transmission and those on the shifter mechanism.
The longer these levers are, the longer your shift throw will be. The longer
your shift throw, the more likely you are to have a problem with the handle
hitting the console plate and/or your hand hitting the dash.
