On the driver's side, probably under the kickpanel, there will a 2-wire connector. The wire from the headlight switch is attached to another 18-gauge yellow wire which runs to the switch on the door post. On the passenger side the 18-gauge yellow wire runs to the switch on the door post . Getting back to the connector in the kickpanel, the other wire in the connector is an 18-gauge pink wire that runs to another connector under the dash. This connector has another 18-gauge pink wire that runs to the brake light switch. From the connector, an 18-gauge pink wire runs to the fusebox. As for your instrument lights, at first I thought it might be a broken wire somewhere between the fuse box and the junction to the instrument lights. But, in a previous post you stated, "When I ran a jumper from another fuse that has juice to the fuse terminal for the instrument cluster, the lights in the cluster lit up like a Christmas tree." This being the case, and that fact the fuse is good, correct?, the problem lies with the fuse holders. There is one at each end and they are removable, with a little tweaking. I know that sounds dumb, but if you can jump power to the wire to the instrument lights and the lights work fine, and there is power from the headlight switch to the fuse box, the only possibilities are the fuse or the fuse holders. For the dome light, does it come on when both doors are opened, or just the driver's door? I am betting just the driver's door in which case the problem lies either in the connection to the headlamp switch or the wire from the switch to the connector in the kickpanel. I tried one of the 2 spare headlight light switches I have. Using this one switch I can get power to the fuse for the instrument cluster when the parking or headlights are engaged. But the instrument cluster bulbs still won't light up. That's plain weird to me. (Each of the other two headlight switches do not make the fuse for the instrument cluster energized when the parking or headlights are engaged.) FWIW, I noticed that on all 3 light switches I have that turning the knob to complete the circuit does not make the interior lights work. The interior lights work when you open the door.
