I put a Hurst ratchet shifter in a v8 S10 I built about 4 years ago. It 
cost $150 from Jegs and worked ok on the street. It had a lever to allow 
you to pull it from park to any other gear without having to ratchet 
thru every gear like the old B&M shifters. You could really bang gears 
with it.
