Big for gasoline is .110" (oversize holley) so if we have 7 psi Pounds per sq inch pushing on an orifice .110' dia . .110" is .110 X .110 X .7854 = .0095 sq inches so the pressure excerted is 7x .0095= .066531 pounds (not psi but actual force) With 10 to 1 leverage on the float arm it is "ein stueck von kuchen" to hold it (aka "a piece of cake") I reserve the right to check my math when i have more time but the basic idea is there.
