All seriousness aside, let's not lose sight of the fact that this is TV 
- as in entertainment. You want it to make sense?

Methinks it's a double-edged sword - draws a wider audience, renders the 
impossible possible, etc.

I'd wager the Don Dulmage of home building would be equally disaffected 
by This Old House, etc.

Theater (or theatre, if you prefer).

Personally, I lean more favorably toward Tool Time and Monster Garage - 
serious business!

Lest it go unsaid, I _love_ the contributions on this list from the 
likes of one Don Dulmage.
