Your situation may be far past the following detailers "trick", but once you
have them clean again,try this: After cleaning with windex, whatever, get
this morning's newspaper & rub the glass. I don't know why it works, but it does,
makes the glass "invisible".
PS A magazine article about this discussed the changes in ink, from petroleum base to soybean, claimed didn't change the desired effect.
