carb spacers for max wedge intake

putting my Edelbrock 600's on my A&A max wedge repro
intake...linkage mechanism on carb is hitting
manifold... will this be made OK with 1/2" spacer to
lift carb ? I'm worried about hood clearance...stock
hood... Help those of you in the know!
