Re: no fuel in my Carter AFB

Finally got around to rebuilding my Carter AFB. as it turns out, the rubber part of the accelerator
pump plunger assembly had a huge tear in it, or was just coming apart. The carb is about 3 or 4
years old. so, is that about how long I can expect the new plunger to last, that came with the rebuild kit?
anyway, thought you all with Carter AFB's, and I guess AVS's, might like to know about the cause of
no fuel or pump shot to start the car with, or keep the engine from stalling on quick acceleration.
also the rebuild seemed fairly easy, for the first time I've ever rebuilt one.
hope this little bit of info helps
