hiya , i had starter that did same thing as yours. the temp effects selonoid 
spring on starter. my car started fine when cold , but hot day i got nothing 
after driving while . 
i would go dealer get new spring for selonoid and i think your trouble be 
over . 
  dealer told me many asphalt trucks has to change starter spring.
