KB recommends .0065 per bore inch on street/strip motors. More with power adders. This worked out to be .028 on my top ring. After conversations with you, kb, and Hastings, the number 2 ring was gapped at .017. I haven't much experience with the hypereutectic's, but the forged pistons would have to be made for the 451. The kb's are supposed to be fine as long as the rpm's are reasonable and no power adders are used. There is a ton of piston info on the kb site.
