I found a couple of Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons for the 383 that are
listed as OE replacements. See
_http://kb-silvolite.com/performance.php?sort=Part_ (http://kb-silvolite.com/performance.php?sort=Part) for a complete
list of all KB pistons.
KB162 - 10.2 to 1 with a 72 cc head. Flat top 1.908 compression height
8.6 to 1 with a 90 cc head.
KB400 - 11.6 to 1 with a 72 cc head. Solid dome 1.908 compression height.
9.5 to 1 with a 90 cc head. kb400 can be milled for lower
compression
These are available through Campbell Enterprises. Contact Marshall,
_mc440@xxxxxxxxxxxx (mailto:mc440@xxxxxxxxxxx) . I bought a set of KB215
hypereutectic's for the stroker through Marshall. Cost 286.99
KB/Silvolite does not list a forged piston for the 383 with decent
compression. Joe
