engine :225 slant six
   all cylinders read within acceptable except #1 which reads zero.
   except if u give it about 5 tries on the fifth the needle will pop up
   to 90 pounds. then the next try its back to zero, and so on and so
   forth.
   squirting oil in cylinder made no difference in process.
    yes i went backwards just double check the gauge and it performed
    flawlessly on all the other cylinders.
   my guess is an intermittent sticky valve, 
     what do u guys think?
    PS: the #1 plug is also oily and the others are dry.
