I built mine just like in the Mopar Action article.  Only I added heat 
sink compound between the chip and the heat sink, and the heat sink and 
instrument panel mounting surface.

I am used to using heat sink compound in computer builds.  I have seen 
it drop the CPU temp by 20 degrees.  It is white, and comes in a tube at 
Radio Shack for $1.99.  No need for overkill, only a thin layer.
