I use a screwdriver and tap the lip in at 6 o'clock. This will cause the
plug to rotate and will come out at the 12 o'clock position. Grab with pliers
and pull. The motor mounts will need to come off to get the front plugs. I
coat the hole with permatex before replacing the plugs, but that's just my
preference. A socket matching the inside of the plug can be used to drive it
in. Good luck. BTW - _www.440source.com_ (http://www.440source.com) has
stainless steel plugs for 14.95. They have the pre 1964 "disc" style plugs also.
