I put together my 383, and its not running right yet. I noticed on the timing mark, i put it about 15 before tdc, and at about 1000rpm, i noticed the mark jumps real quick to about 50 after tdc and then goes quickly back to 15 before. It moves real fast, but does not do it continuesly. Any one know what would cause this? I know the timing should be about 10 before tdc, but it has a new 494 lift cam and needed to adjust for that.
