The Poly could use a more efficient camshaft to take advantage of the higher BMEP in the chamber. The Poly BMEP is slightly less than the HEMI and far more than the wedge. The Poly does not need the higher head flow volume as do wedges because it need not be "over-engineered" to compensate for the less-efficient wedge chambers. Our "Race Poly" will bear some surprising numbers vs. the wedge engines with much less camshaft and cubic inches.
