Now that I have my starter sorted out, I am close to getting back on the
road. I naively poured a bottle of fuel system cleaner into the tank
prior to cranking it up and discovered that this cleaner is either an
excellent leak detector or leak generator. Closer inspection reveals
the need for a tank. Seems my baby suffered some abuse at the hands of
my niece prior to being parked (she wasn't telling). Before I hit the
yards, someone must know by heart the several carcasses that can be
scavenged for this tank. This is a 65 Cuda, so I'm _guessing_ 64-66
Valiants and Darts, but I'd be comforted to have the knowledge 'on
board' prior to the hunt.
Also, I have been eagerly awaiting the day when I can install the 8 3/4
I acquired some years back. I know this has been covered, but I spent
an entire day trying to find alignment specs I saved a few years back on
my hard drive. Can someone tell me (again) whether my unit is worth
messing with? I'm after the type where clutches can be replaced
indefinitely. My casting says 2881489.
Many thanks (again).
