Lyle,
Although I do a lot of my own paint, I don't always use
the right terminology. I use a two part (single stage) the
type where you add a catalyst type stuff. I have never chipped
any I have done, and my truck sits out in the sun all the time,
and has showed no signs of fading. I always assumed the type
of paint with the catalyst is tougher than the type without. Am I
right or wrong?
Earl
Earl,
Guess my only concern is wondering how long the single stage paint (using
a good brand and grade) will actually last from hands always being on it.
Does it wear down fairly quickly, or no? I have restored a few wheels
myself
over the years (I own a bodyshop), but never seen them later on down the
road. I
always wondered how they would hold up in the long run. No one ever came
looking for me, so I am assuming they do last a while. Lyle in Montana
