The plan is to slip it into my little 273 coronet to make a kind of grandma sleeper. The car looks like a granny car with b3 blue, , hubcaps,a bench seat and a column shift . I wanna keep it that way. But i thought slipping a 340 in there with a sb 727 could be a good joke. yes , i know a 440 would maybe make more sense in a coronet , but the car realy weighs about the same as my old 71 cuda that ripped and roared with a 340 , and i dont want to hack the car up in anyway either so its stayin smallblock. Any way long story short i am wondering about an intake setup for this 340. I want to keep the engine very streetable, so the cam will be pretty mild,MAYBE some headers, elec. ign.,etc., nothin tooo fancy. I have a carter afb 650 and a 750 but i was wondering about one of these new edelbrock AVS, or maybe a small Thermoquad. The intake will be a dual plane, maybe the performer, performwer RPM or maybe just the stock 340 cast iron . Anybody know about the AVS carbs, or thermoquads. Remember guys, I am not building a bracket car here, I am finally listening to Earl Helm, my voice of reason. This is my putt-puttt car, my Polara is going to be the monster neal Zimmeman, Eugene oregon [AD removed for archives] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sign up today for a No Annual Fee Discover® Platinum Card and get? 0% Intro APR on Purchases & Balance Transfers for 8 Months, Up to 2% Cashback Bonus® reward on your purchases & 100% fraud protection. caadtrVbOyW3Nf/DiscoverCard ------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
